CHRISTMAS OFFERING

Frequently Asked Questions

WHY A SPECIAL OFFERING?
Our annual Christmas Offering is a catalyst for the ministries we want to support and get behind in 2023.

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE REGULAR OFFERING AND THIS SPECIAL OFFERING?
It’s basically the same as brushing your teeth and flossing. One you set aside a regular time to do it, the other you go above and beyond only when you’re on your way to see a dentist. The Christmas Offering is over and above your regular giving and is designated for specific mission efforts and projects.

HOW MUCH SHOULD I GIVE?
Well that’s none of our business... it’s really between you and God. We do hope that everyone gets involved at some level. Sacrificing financially will always stretch your faith.

WHEN SHOULD I GIVE?
Do it today. Do it next week. Do it next paycheck. As long as your gift is in before December 31, 2022 it will be included in this year’s offering.

HOW DO I DESIGNATE MY CHRISTMAS OFFERING?
Don’t worry about it. There is no need to designate your gift, because we have already strategically set a goal of giving away as much as possible during this season of our church! However, if you do have a specific project that you want to help fund, please write it on your giving envelope, or check, or designate it when you give online.

ARE MY GIFTS TAX-DEDUCTIBLE?
All gifts to Great Lakes Church are completely tax-deductible.  Be sure your gift arrives at our office before December 31, 2022 to ensure that it can be applied to your 2022 giving statement.  Please be sure to include your name and address when you give so that a receipt can be sent to you in early 2023 for your tax preparations.  You are not required to utilize a tax-deduction for your gift, but it is available for all gifts.

I'M READY TO GIVE. HOW DO I PARTICIPATE?
Throughout the months of November and December we're inviting everyone at Great Lakes Church to increase their generosity and help us fund our year-end initiatives. Since we operate with "one fund" at Great Lakes Church, there is no need to designate your gift in a specific way. We’ve already cut back our budget and will give away everything that exceeds our operation expenses.

As always, you can mail your gift, drop your gift at one of our physical locations, or give online (which takes 2-3 minutes), CLICK HERE to get started.
